RICE TO ARSENAL, MESSI IN USA

 ARSENAL'S RECORD SIGNING 

Declan Rice has signed for Arsenal , after ending a long transfer saga, on a long term contract with worth of £100 million +£ 5 million Add - ons.

Ahead of the confirmation of the move, Declan Rice released a statement thanking all the West Ham supporters during his 10 years at the club and he also insisted that it was a 'tough' decision to leave.

Rice says 'Arteta' is the biggest 'factor' he joined the GUNNERS,and believes his new manager can understand his potential and make him better.

He further said " You only ever get one career and I really believe in what Mikel is building here and the squad's he is building" he told the club.

"I've been looking at Arsenal over the last couple of seasons and the trajectory they’ve been going on. Not last season but the season before, they finished fifth but you could see the style of play Mikel was implementing."

"For me as a player , I've come here really hungry to have more success and to spend my best years at this great club ."

He will wear the Jersey Number 41, which he usually wore at West Ham.

ARTETA ON RICE

Mikel Arteta on Rice "Declan is bringing undoubted quality to the club and he is an exceptional talent who has the potential to be very successful here. Declan has great experience in the Premier League at only 24 years old.

"He has captained a very good West Ham team and as we all saw, he recently lifted a European trophy. The responsibility and role he has taken on has been very impressive and we are really excited that he is joining us."

ABOUT DECLAN RICE 

The English International lifted the Europa Conference League Trophy last season with West Ham.

Also he has been the West Ham United Player of the year for 3 seasons i.e 2019-20 2021&22 and 2022-23.

At England National Team he has been a regular starter after since joining the senior team in 2019. He showed his potential UEFA 2019 Nations League and in UEFA Euro Cup in 2020.

Rice was also included in the England squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.[62] He started all five matches.

ARSENAL BUSINESS THIS SEASON 

Arsenal have already bought Kai Havertz from Chelsea for around £71 million and Jurrien Timber form AFC Ajax for around £38 million.

Arsenal could make their move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia if Thomas Party leaves the club this summer.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move away from the Saints, with Liverpool and Chelsea both also keen.
